Atlanta Ballet's 80th Anniversary Season opens at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center October 15-24 with Mozart's Magic Flute - artfully updated by choreographer Mark Godden to enrapture audiences with it grandeur. A one hour family ballet, Pinocchio will perform during the October 24 & 25 matinees. Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker takes the stage celebrating its 50th anniversary with 19 performances at the Fabulous Fox Theatre Dec. 11-27. Then back to Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center February 4-14 with the classic fairy tale - Cinderella - replete with pumpkin coach, a team of mice-horses, footmen, glass slipper and glorious dance. March 25-28 will be Vivaldi's Four Seasons choreographed by James Kudelka. Lose yourself in the stunning music and story that will literally sweep you away. Atlanta Ballet's 80th anniversary season will conclude with Sheer Exhilaration, May 6-9, an evening of mixed repertoire which will be a 'sheer extravaganza' and an eclectic mix of sizzling styles of dance.
